Rabbi Lisa

A long time resident of Westlake Village, California, Lisa Bock served the Jewish community in the Conejo Valley both locally and nationally for many years as a volunteer. Rabbi Lisa considers herself a community rabbi, seeking to serve those who are unaffiliated.

Compelled by her love of Judaism, and love of teaching and learning, after raising two children, she chose to close her appraisal business of 20 years and enroll in Rabbinic school.

Rabbi Lisa attended AJR-CA in Los Angeles from 2008-2012, and earned both ordination and her Masters Degree in Rabbinic Studies. With her academic degrees, business experience, years of formal and informal Jewish study, her love of Judaism and the Jewish community, Rabbi Lisa blends life experience, the practical with the spiritual, and pours that into all that she does.

"I love teaching and learning.  When I'm teaching or talking about Judaism, studying a text, lighting Shabbat candles, making challah - it just feels like heaven!"
